Located in picturesque New Edinburgh, a stones-throw from Ottawa's Byward Market, Farbs Kitchen and Wine Bar serves upscale bistro-fare in a casual, friendly atmosphere.

Chef/owner Michael Farber and Chef de cuisine, Jon Svazas take pride in creating new dishes made from local ingredients:

"We source our ingredients from local suppliers, including, Mariposa Farm, Rideau Pines Farm, Rochon Farm, Diotte Farm, Le Coprin Mushrooms, "Crazy" Dave Thomasson, the Whalesbone Sustainable Fish Supply, Acorn Creek Garden Farm, Suntech of Manotick, the Elk Ranch, Le maison de Gibier, Ferme Floralpe and Perigorde Farm. We also source some wines off our list from Niagara and Prince Edward County."

"While it is difficult to maintain the "100 mile diet", we maintain that our local ingredients are of the world's best and we will source them whenever possible."
